The Chevy Silverado HD is no slouch either, but it can't quite match the Super Duty. Its new 6.6-liter V8 gas engine tops out at 401 hp and 464 pounds of torque. The Duramax 6.6-liter turbo diesel V8 makes a respectable 445 hp and 910 pounds. However, that's still well behind the Ford's class-leading diesel output.

Inside the cab, the Super Duty comes with the latest SYNC 4 infotainment system on an eight-inch or enormous 12-inch touchscreen. The Silverado HD has a capable infotainment system with an eight-inch touchscreen, but it's not as advanced as Ford's system, and smartphone pairing requires a wired USB connection.
